Solar Installation Valla Beach

A good number of houses at Valla Beach are holiday homes or sit empty for stretches of the year. That changes the design brief completely: without storage, an empty house exports nearly everything it generates, and without monitoring nobody notices when something stops working.

Valla Beach is a small coastal village six kilometres from Nambucca Heads, and it has the housing mix you would expect from one. Older fibro and weatherboard cottages sit alongside newer builds, and a fair number of both are used part of the year rather than all of it. We design for how the house is actually occupied.

Behind the work is over 20 years of installing solar and more than 5,000 systems. Valla Beach is roughly 94 kilometres from Port Macquarie, and we service it from there with our own licensed crew. Site assessment, design, installation, the Essential Energy connection and any later servicing all stay with us.

We install Trina, Jinko, REC and Tindo panels, with Tindo built in Australia. Inverters come from Fronius, Sungrow, GoodWe, Sigenergy and SMA. Batteries come from Sigenergy, Sungrow, BYD and GoodWe. Where a system already exists, adding a battery to it is often the cheapest way to get more out of it, and we will tell you if the existing inverter is up to the job.

Salt is the first thing we account for on a job this close to the water. Rails, clamps and fixings are specified for a marine environment, roof penetrations are flashed and sealed properly, and the inverter goes on a wall where it stays shaded and out of the spray. Getting those choices right at the quote stage is what keeps a system going for its full life, and none of them cost much when they are planned in.

Remote monitoring is set up on every install and it matters more here than most places. If a string drops out while the house is empty, an alert reaches you and us instead of the fault sitting unnoticed until the next bill. It also lets us diagnose most problems before anyone drives up.

The system sizes we install most often at Valla Beach. Each is fitted by our own team and each can be paired with battery storage.
