Storms bring the second concern. Wind uplift on a coastal roof is significant, so clamp positions and rail overhangs are set to the manufacturer’s wind-loading figures rather than eyeballed. Proper earthing and surge protection matter too, because outages and voltage spikes come with the same weather.
