Two things define solar work in a coastal town like this one. Salt, which decides how long the hardware lasts, and part-time occupancy, which decides how much of your own production you actually use. Both are design problems and both have good answers.

Coastal systems accumulate salt film on the glass, and fixings and earthing points need checking in a way they do not inland. A service picks up corrosion, loose clamps, failing isolators and underperforming strings before any of them turns into a bigger job.

We also take on systems somebody else installed. If yours is producing less than it should, or the inverter is throwing faults, or you simply want a battery added to an array that is already there, we will look at it and give you a straight assessment of whether it is worth keeping. We will not push a replacement you do not need.

Going fully standalone starts with knowing exactly what the property consumes and when. We work through the load in detail, then size the array, the battery bank and the generator backup against a poor stretch of weather rather than a good one. That is the difference between a system that just works and one you end up managing.

Hybrid systems make sense where a connection exists but is not dependable. Storms take the network down along this coast often enough that a battery with backup capability is worth having on its own merits, quite apart from what it does to your bill.

The federal battery discount applies to these installs the same as anywhere else in the country, and we deal with the claim so it comes off the quote before you see it.
