Coastal roofs need marine-grade mounting and careful attention to where water can sit. We use rails and fixings rated for salt exposure, seal every penetration, and place isolators where they stay out of the weather. Tall gums on older blocks throw shade at times of day that matter, so we model it before we quote rather than guessing from an aerial photo.

Commercial work follows the same approach. Sheds, strata buildings, clubs and light industrial roofs all have their own structural and switchboard constraints, and three-phase supply changes what inverter makes sense. For rural blocks out towards the hinterland, where the power run to the house is long and the supply drops under load, an off-grid or hybrid design often beats paying to upgrade the line.

Summer storm season is hard on electrical gear near the coast. Surges travel in on the grid, and a cheap inverter with poor surge protection will show it. We specify equipment that holds up, install proper protection at the switchboard, and mount inverters where they are shaded and ventilated instead of baking on a west wall.

Salt gets into everything within a few kilometres of the water. Aluminium rail, stainless fixings and correctly isolated dissimilar metals are the difference between a system that looks the same in fifteen years and one that streaks rust down the roof sheets.

Monitoring matters here too. A lot of properties are holiday homes or rentals, and remote monitoring means a fault gets noticed in days rather than at the next bill.
