Solar Installation Lake Cathie

Being this close to the water changes the specification. Salt sits on everything, so mounting hardware, fixings and cable entries have to be chosen for corrosion rather than price, and inverters need somewhere sheltered to live. That is standard practice for us on this coast.

Households here run a familiar pattern. Air conditioning through the humid months, hot water and a pool pump most of the year, and long stretches where the house is empty because the owners are away. Solar covers the daytime side of that easily, and a battery plus monitoring makes the empty weeks less of a mystery.

Our whole team is employed, licensed and in-house, with over 20 years and more than 5,000 installations behind it. Nobody subcontracts your job to a crew you have never spoken to. We look after the Essential Energy application, claim the federal rebate on your behalf, and take it off the quoted figure up front.

Equipment is chosen to last in this environment. Panels from Trina, Jinko, REC and Tindo, inverters from Fronius, Sungrow, GoodWe, Sigenergy and SMA, batteries from Sigenergy, Sungrow, BYD and GoodWe. If there is already an older array on the roof, adding storage to it is usually straightforward. We will tell you honestly if it is not.

Roofs in the area range from single-storey brick and Colorbond on newer blocks to older places with tile, dormers and a fair bit of shading from established trees. Small, broken-up roof planes need panels laid out carefully and often suit optimisers or micro-level control so one shaded module does not drag the rest down. We work that out on site.

Holiday houses and investment properties get particular attention. Remote monitoring lets you or your agent see production from anywhere, and it flags a dead string or a tripped inverter long before a quarterly bill would. For owners who are not around, that is often the feature that matters most, ahead of the last half kilowatt of output. We set it up and show you how to read it.
